Joe Laurinaitis, better known as Road Warrior Animal" of The Legion of Doom has passed away at 6o years old.

Joe Laurinaitis was known the world over at "Road Warrior Animal," one half one of the most beloved professional tag teams in history, the Road Warriors.

The duo would eventually become known as the Legion of Doom during their tenure in the World Wrestling Federation. Laurinaitis was partnered with 'Road Warrior Hawk," born Michael Hegstrand. "Hawk" would tragically pass back in 2003 of an unexpected heart attack.

Dominating in the 80's and 90's, the Road Warriors would become tag team champions in various promotions including the AWA, NWA, WCW and WWE. They were synonymous with the counter culture, making their way to the ring with face paint and spiked shoulder pads.

The tag team would earn Hall of Fame honors back in 2011 for their contributions to the sport and the culture - few tag teams ever incited the kind of intimidation the Road Warriors did and their legacy proves as such.

No cause of death for Laurinaitis has been reveled. He was only 60 years old.
