Gross, destructive, dumb as hell and yet bizarrely profound, 90s icons Beavis and Butt-Head made a triumphant return to hearts and minds just recently with their comeback movie, Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe. Streamed exclusively on Paramount+, the film launched the teen duo into the modern day without losing any of the hilarious idiocy of the original series.
The film serves as the kickoff to a full blown Beavis and Butt-Head revival, with a brand new episodic series now coming to Paramount+ as soon as this August. A trailer for the show has just been released and if Do the Universe was any indication, these two morons haven’t lost a bit of their comedic touch.
Original creator and the voice behind the titular characters, Mike Judge, is of course back to run the new series. He serves as an executive producer alongside Lew Morton, Michael Rotenberg, Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Ben Kalina, and Antonio Cannobio for Titmouse.
The official synopsis for the series reads: “The iconic animated duo of Beavis and Butt-Head are back and dumber than ever! The ‘90s pop culture phenomenons return, voiced by creator Mike Judge, to confound common sense, torture each other, and showcase some of the dumbest comedy imaginable.”
