Last week, Florida wordsmith Denzel Curry delivered a new Omar Jones-directed music video for the single, “Blood On My Nikez” – marking the first reveal of new music in 2023. The video however, was only a teaser of the full scope of the track which touts a heavyweight collaboration with Juicy J of the legendary Three 6 Mafia.

Today, the official audio of the full track, featuring the verse from Juicy J has landed – showcasing a convincing return to form for Curry. The single harkens back to some of Curry’s most enduring work like Nostalgic 64 and Imperial.

The drop arrives in what has been a career year for Curry. In May, he released his Live At Electric Lady EP, teaming up with the Cold Blooded Soul Band to revisit four essentials from his 2022 album Melt My Eyez See Your Future with live renditions. The EP also includes a cover of Erykah Badu’s “Didn’t Cha Know” and the previously-unreleased “Endtroduction.”

On the live front, Curry has asserted a continued reach with international implications. Curry actually previewed the new track on his Australian tour earlier this year, going onto top major festival bills including the Capitol Hill Block Party, a set at Germany’s SPLASH! Festival and a headlining set at Outbreak Fest in the UK.

The arrival of “Blood On My Nikez” precedes run of live dates throughout the summer that include both festival dates and headlining plays. A current list of confirmed dates can be found below.
