JUDAS PRIEST JOINS POWER TRIP FESTIVAL LINE-UP TO SUPPORT AC/DC

JUDAS PRIEST JOINS POWER TRIP FESTIVAL LINE-UP TO SUPPORT AC/DC

The festival has recruited the British metal titans following Ozzy Osbourne’s recent cancellation.

Organizers for the inaugural three-day Power Trip Festival slated for October 6th through 8th in Indio, CA have announce who will replace Ozzy Osbourne following the announcement that Prince of Darkness will no longer be able to participate in the this year’s event.

Osbourne was initially slated to perform along with AC/DC for the October 7th date, completing a historic line-up comprised of six iconic bands. The full three-day line-up first featured Guns N Roses with Iron Maiden, AC/DC with Ozzy Osbourne and Metallica with Tool.

Citing ongoing health concerns and his continued recovery following a spinal injury, Ozzy was forced to pull out of his scheduled performance at Power Trip.

In published statement, Ozzy detailed his ambitious timeline of coming back ahead of schedule for the festival and how his body is just not responding the way he had hope. “My original plan was to return to the stage in the summer of 2024, and when the offer to do this show came in, I optimistically moved forward.”

Ozzy added, “Unfortunately, my body is telling me that I’m just not ready yet and I am much too proud to have the first show that I do in nearly five years be half-assed.”

Forced to pivot due to the cancellation, Power Trip organizers have announced that the legendary Judas Priest will join the festivities and perform AC/DC on October 7th.

Judas Priest shared the following statement with the confirmation. “POWER TRIPPERS ARE YOU READY FOR SOME JUDAS PRIEST STYLE HEAVY METAL! WE ARE EXCITED AND READY TO RAISE DOUBLE HORNS WAY UP HIGH TOGETHER. KEEPING THE METAL FAITH AT THIS BOSTIN ONE OF A KIND POWER TRIP WORLD EVENT!”
