Nita Strauss Joins Forces With Dorothy On New Single "Victorious"

- By Corinne Westbrook

The Hurricane's upcoming full length album features guest spots from Alissa White-Gluz, Lzzy Hale, Chris Motionless, Alice Cooper, Matry Firedman, David Draiman and more.

LA-born guitar phenom Nita Strauss recently announced the details of her highly-anticipated sophomore solo album The Call of the Void. The album will land on July 7th via Sumerian Records. Today she has shared an empowering new track, featuring the powerful vocals of Dorothy Martin.

"'Victorious' is the anthem I always wanted, a song about inspiring change, marching forward relentlessly, being willing to save yourself instead of waiting for someone to do it for you, and never backing down from a fight," Strauss shares. "Dorothy was the perfect powerhouse voice and personality to stand and deliver, and knock this one out of the park."

Dorothy shares Strauss' enthusiasm for the track, stating, "I'm honored to be a part of 'Victorious' with my friend Nita Strauss. She is the embodiment of a bold, beautiful, strong woman. The song and video scream #GIRLPOWER and we know you'll love it!"

The track is accompanied by a highly cinematic new video. Directed by Vicente Cordero, the video features two cameos: 13-year-old rising star Charlotte Milstein, who plays the role of a young Nita, and U.S. Olympian, former WBO and IBF champion Mikalea Mayer.

The upcoming album features a litany of guests including Alissa White-Gluz of Arch Enemy, Chris Motionless of Motionless in White, and the legend himself Alice Cooper, as well as many others.

The Call Of The Void arrives July 7th via Sumerian Records. Pre-orders are available HERE.
