Static-X Mark 25th Anniversary of 'Wisconsin Death Trip' With First Look at New Documentary

In celebration of the milestone 25th anniversary of the release of Static-X's seminal studio album, Wisconsin Death Trip, the band has shared the first glimpse of a new comprehensive documentary that depicts the life and legacy of Wayne Static and the cultural shift in wake of the band's arrival. 

Evil Disco: The Rise, Fall, And Regeneration Of Static-X frames the meteoric rise of the band and the eventual passing of beloved frontman Wayne Static at just 48. The 1999 debut release would go platinum by 2001 and has since been regarded as one of the most enduring, definitive albums of the era.

In the recently revealed teaser trailer, testimonial footage from band members Ken Jay, Tony Campos and Koichi Fukuda give their first hand account of the band's skyrocketing acsent to stardom and the collateral damage of fame that would eventually tear at the fabric of the band. 

The film also includes interview footage with the likes of Dave Navarro of Jane's Addiction, Jamey Jasta of Hatebreed, Meegs Rascon of Coal Chamber, Dino Cazares of Fear Factory, John 5, Lajon Witherspoon of Sevendust and Edsel Dope that not only recounts Static-X's inital impact, but the kind of resurgence the band has enjoyed recent years. 

The film offers a testament to the enduring legacy of Wayne Static and details how the remaining members have been able to honor that legacy in a way that resonates with fans old and new.
