In the wake of former frontman Alex Varkatzas’ recent departure, the band has made adjustments and are emphatically charging ahead
Metalcore veterans Atreyu have unveiled a brand new single and accompanying music video for the single, “Save Me.”
Produced by John Feldmann, the track showcases a new set of personnel following the recently departure of former frontman Alex Varkatzas.
Moving from his post as clean vocalist and drummer, Brandon Saller now assumes the frontman duties. The band has enlisted Kyle Rosa to take up behind the kit, with guitarist Porter McKnight handling the harsh vocals for the band.
Currently hard at work on their right studio record, the band’s offering of the ingle “Save Me” not only asserts a new era in terms of line up, but offers insight into the sonic evolution of the enduring core pioneers.
“‘Save Us’ is not only a reflection of where we are musically, but also a mirror to the world in this ominous moment in time,” Atreyu says. “We chose to pair the powerful message with one of the heavier songs we’ve ever written. This song feels like the anthem that we all need right now. To us, it’s a call to action to light the fire in ourselves. We can begin to make great change — but only if we look inside first.”
Atreyu’s eighth studio album will appear on Spinefarm Records. More details to come.
