Metal icons and thrash frame builders Megadeth have announced plans for a special livestream broadcast capturing the band’s headlining appearance at the hallowed ground of Budokan Arena in Tokyo, Japan. Produced by Driift & Wowow, the performance will broadcast live February 27th to a global audience starting at 6:00pm Tokyo-time (JST) / 9:00 am London (GMT).
To ensure fans everywhere get a chance to witness the spectacle at one of rock music’s most famed venues, the performance will then rebroadcast three times for fans in different times zones to tune in. Following the initial airing, the performance will be available on-demand for two days (Monday February 27th from 11.30pm PST to Wednesday March 1st at 11.30pm PST) for fans that might have missed out.
Megadeth mastermind Dave Mustaine framed the importance of the show and the rich history of Budokan. “To all our fans and friends in Japan! I am so excited to return to and to finally play the world famous Budokan. Be part of history, and I’ll see you there!” shared Mustaine.
