Gibson and Adam Jones of Tool have announced their multi-year partnership in a very big way.
Unveiling his Gibson Custom Shop Adam Jones 1979 Les Paul Custom guitar, the guitarist/ visual artist/ sculptor /videographer/ producer/ special effects designer, has shared a short film entitled, The Witness. The artistically-animated short features an original score composed by Jones.

The Gibson Les Paul Custom Adam Jones 1979 Silverburst Aged replica version is the first-ever artist collaboration done at the newly created Gibson Custom Shop Murphy Lab. I hope that fans fall in love with the guitars, starting with this initial release.”
Jones'original Silverburst 1979 Gibson Les Paul, captured the attention of fans during the world tour for the group’s 2019 return, Fear Inoculum. Recreating the guitar, there are 79 that are signed and numbered by Adam Jones himself.
The remaining limited num beers of guitars, 179 to be precise, feature exclusive silkscreen artwork on the back of the headstock. The original artwork was created by Joyce Su and Adam Jones.
