Coke benders, threesomes and dead bodies - Check out the supernatural short film, 'Palm Swings'

The debut short film from Knotfest's own Whitney Moore co-stars Bree Essrig in a tale of a weekend getaway that quickly spirals into a tumultuous 24 hours.

Earning "Best Dark Comedy" and "Best LGBTQ+ Short" from both the Independent Short Awards and IndieX Film Fest, the debut short film from SYFY's Whitney Moore in 'Palm Swings' is an entertaining half hour complete with big laughs, real jealousy, and and an otherworldly head trip that punctuates a wild 24 hours in the desert.

Starring Moore, along with writer, comedian and Dirty Deets podcast host Bree Essrig (Discovery, Sourcefed), Nathaniel Moore and Chelsea Frank, the flick depicts a romantic getaway between Moore and Essrig that ends up muddied by a long night of drugs, an impromptu threesome, and eventually, a dead body found floating in the pool of their vacation rental home.

The film was an entirely self-funded, self-driven project by both Moore and Essrig and shot during the pandemic. Enlisting the talents of director Marques Mallare, the film recently debuted via Essrig's wildly popular Youtube Channel, which boasts more than 285k active followers.

In addition to the film's unique brand of dark, adult humor, the clip also prominently features the music of emerging artists including artists like, Yukon Blonde, Jeffertiti, Natey, B11CE, and Black Mekon.

Sex, drugs, and supernatural therapy sessions - 'Palm Swings' is a rad way to spend a half hour. Check the film in its entirety below.
