Helter Skelter: An American Myth explores the enduring mystique of Charles Manson

The EPIX documentary-series debuts July 26th with never-before-accessed interviews and newly unearth images.

A new documentary-series is set to debut on the EPIX Network July 26th chronicling the most infamous cult in American history, the Manson Family.

Directed by Lesley Chilcott (Watson, An Inconvenient Truth), Helter Skelter: An American Myth features never-before-accessed interviews with journalists and Manson family members for an unique, first-hand account of the most documented murder in the last 50 years.

In addition to the interviews, the series features archival footage and newly-unearthed images from the era to better detail the complex, comprehensive story of a community that is so infamous and yet still so veiled.

“Helter Skelter is an edge-of-your-seat thriller about a small-time con artist who spearheaded one of the most unspeakable murder tragedies in history,” said Brooke Karzen, the Executive Vice President and Head of Warner Horizon Unscripted Television. “It explores the age-old question: are killers born or are they made?”
