PA death metal purveyors Signs of the Swarm deliver decimation with "The Collection"

The track showcases guttural guest spots from Matt Honeycutt of Kublai Khan and Nick Arthur of Molotov Solution.

Building on the band's signature brand of relentlessness established with recorded efforts like 2019's Vital Depravation, Pittsburgh's death metal practitioners Signs of the Swarm have resurfaced in a big way.

Enlisting the vocal attack of both Matt Honeycutt of Kublai Khan and Nick Arthur of Molotov Solution, SotS leave a path of pure destruction with their latest unforgiving single, "The Collection".

The band elaborated on the project and the notion of coming back from their layoff with such an emphatic standalone single. "The collaborative vocal efforts of Matt Honeycutt and Nick Arthur on the track not only was an incredible experience for us, but really helped to round out the song as it was coming together. Pushing us to experiment with the aspect of it being a single.”

The band's dizzying barrage of hardcore accented death metal results in tight transitions ranging from instrumental chaos to a straight sonic beatdown - Signs of the Swarm don't create music for the casual listener and "The Collection" further underscores that fact.

As for the conceptual direction, the band explains the coercive, devious subtext that results in volatility. Given the current climate, the music is relevantly aggressive. "The lyrical content behind 'The Collection' stems from the idea of . An entity that has complete control and manipulation over its people to hold power over its entities. We see this with large governments, religions, cults, and so on."

"The Collection" will be streaming on DSPs beginning February 5th. Pre-save the track - HERE. Watch the premiere of 'The Collection" from Signs of the Swarm below.
