‘Resident Evil’ (Netflix)
This new series based on the iconic video game franchise will take place across two timelines and follows Jade Wesker (Ella Balinska) – daughter of familiar Resident Evil character Albert Wesker (Lance Reddick) – as she fights for survival in a world overrun by blood-thirsty infected and insane creatures. In this absolute carnage, Jade is haunted by her past in New Raccoon City, by her father’s chilling connections to the Umbrella Corporation, but mostly by what happened to her sister, Billie (Siena Agudong).
‘Good Madam’ (Shudder)
Tsidi (Chumisa Cosa), a single mother, is forced to move in with her estranged mother Mavis (Nosipho Mtebe), a live-in domestic worker caring obsessively for her catatonic white ‘Madam’ (Jennifer Boraine) in an affluent Cape Town suburb. As Tsidi tries to heal her family however, a sinister specter begins to stir. A genre film entrenched in the ordinary everyday horrors in our society, Good Madam explores the generational trauma inherent to South African culture, sprawling from the past to the present day, with chilling delivery and haunting results.
‘What We Do In the Shadows (Season 4)’ (Hulu)
Hilarious and spooky fun, What We Do In the Shadows looks into the daily (or rather, nightly) lives of four vampires, who've lived together for over 100 years, on Staten Island. The series is now back for a fourth season of undead antics and further hilarity that’s sure to keep fans wheezing for air.
‘The Bob’s Burgers Movie’ (Hulu & HBO Max)
The full-length movie treatment of Bob’s Burgers doesn’t try to break the mold in any real way, but for those who have come to love the Belcher family and all of their eccentricities, or those looking to jump into the series for the first time, this big screen adventure delivers the humor and heart that it needs to.

‘Solar Opposites (Season 3)’ (Hulu)
Justin Roiland’s other animated sci-fi comedy series returns for its third season of wacky alien adventures. Extraterrestrial travelers Korvo (Roiland), Yumyulack (Sean Giambrone), Terry (Thomas Middleditch) and Jesse (Mary Mack) continue to contend with life on Earth after crash landing from their home planet Schlorp.
‘Uncharted’ (Netflix)
Based on yet another hit video game franchise, Uncharted gives the series the big screen blockbuster makeover filled with action and treasure-seeking adventure. Street-smart Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) is recruited by seasoned treasure hunter Victor "Sully" Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg) to recover a lost and vast fortune. What starts as a heist job for the duo becomes a globe-trotting, white-knuckle race to reach the prize before the ruthless Santiago Moncada (Antonio Banderas), who believes he and his family are the rightful heirs.
‘Gold’ (Hulu)
Set against the backdrop of a vast, unique and unforgiving landscape, Gold is a taut thriller about greed and the lengths people will go to secure themselves a fortune. When two drifters (Zac Efron & Anthony Hayes) travelling through the desert stumble across the biggest gold nugget ever found, the dream of immense wealth and greed takes hold. They hatch a plan to protect and excavate their bounty with one man leaving to secure the necessary equipment. The other man remains and must endure the harsh desert climate, preying wolves and intruders, whilst battling the creeping doubt that he has been abandoned to his own fate.
‘Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight’ (Netflix)
In this new series based on the hit DreamWorks movie trilogy, Jack Black officially returns as legendary panda warrior Po. When a mysterious pair of weasels set their sights on a collection of four powerful weapons, Po must leave his home to embark on a globe-trotting quest for redemption and justice that finds him partnered up with a no-nonsense English knight named Wandering Blade (Rita Ora). Together, these two mismatched warriors set out on an epic adventure to find the magical weapons first and save the world from destruction.
‘The Shallows’ (Peacock)
In the taut thriller The Shallows, when Nancy (Blake Lively) is surfing on a secluded beach, she finds herself on the feeding ground of a great white shark. Though she is stranded only 200 yards from shore, survival proves to be the ultimate test of wills, requiring all of Nancy's ingenuity, resourcefulness, and fortitude.

‘Ms. Marvel’ (Disney+)
The latest Disney+ series to come from the mighty Marvel universe focuses on one of the comics’ newest heroes. Kamala (Iman Vellani) is a superhero fan with an imagination, particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel; Kamala feels like she doesn’t fit in at school and sometimes even at home, that is until she gets superpowers like the heroes she’s looked up to. The coming-of-age story is likely to pay off big in future installments for the MCU and has proven to be one of the best Marvel series to date for the streaming service. ‘The Orville: New Horizons’ (Hulu)
Seth McFarlane’s sci-fi series finally returns with a move to Hulu just in time for its third season. Set 400 years in the future, New Horizons finds the crew of the U.S.S. Orville continuing their mission of exploration, as they navigate both the mysteries of the universe and the complexities of their own interpersonal relationships. ‘For All Mankind (Season 3)’ (Apple TV+)
For All Mankind is a sprawling story that began with a provocative premise: What if the Russians landed on the moon first, before Americans? The space race never ended and the two Cold War foes only ramped up the competition to colonize the moon and beyond. Season 3 jumps ahead in this alternate history into the 90s, where Americans, Soviets, and a mysterious private company are all tussling over the future of mankind on Mars. ‘Irma Vep’ (HBO Max)

‘Only Murders In the Building (Season 2)’ (Hulu)
An unlikely trio (Selena Gomez, Martin Short, Steve Martin) become amateur true crime podcasters in hopes of solving the mysterious homicide that happened in their apartment building. After closing the case at the end of the first season, Mabel, Charles and Oliver become the suspects in a new murder that took place in the building — and the subjects of a new podcast hosted by their favorite host Cinda Canning (Tina Fey). ‘Westworld (Season 4)’ (HBO Max)

‘Black Bird’ (Apple TV+)
After Jimmy Keene (Taron Egerton) is sentenced to 10 years in a minimum security prison without parole, he cuts a deal with the FBI to enter maximum-security prison for the criminally insane and befriend a suspected serial killer, Larry Hall (Paul Walter Hauser). Keene’s job is to elicit a confession from Hall in order to slam the door on Hall’s appeal and find the buried bodies of as many as eighteen women. But is Hall a serial killer? Or a serial confessor?
