‘Resident Evil’ (Netflix)

This new series based on the iconic video game franchise will take place across two timelines and follows Jade Wesker (Ella Balinska) – daughter of familiar Resident Evil character Albert Wesker (Lance Reddick) – as she fights for survival in a world overrun by blood-thirsty infected and insane creatures. In this absolute carnage, Jade is haunted by her past in New Raccoon City, by her father’s chilling connections to the Umbrella Corporation, but mostly by what happened to her sister, Billie (Siena Agudong).

‘Good Madam’ (Shudder)

Tsidi (Chumisa Cosa), a single mother, is forced to move in with her estranged mother Mavis (Nosipho Mtebe), a live-in domestic worker caring obsessively for her catatonic white ‘Madam’ (Jennifer Boraine) in an affluent Cape Town suburb. As Tsidi tries to heal her family however, a sinister specter begins to stir. A genre film entrenched in the ordinary everyday horrors in our society, Good Madam explores the generational trauma inherent to South African culture, sprawling from the past to the present day, with chilling delivery and haunting results.

Hilarious and spooky fun, What We Do In the Shadows looks into the daily (or rather, nightly) lives of four vampires, who've lived together for over 100 years, on Staten Island. ‘Uncharted’ (Netflix)

Based on yet another hit video game franchise, Uncharted gives the series the big screen blockbuster makeover filled with action and treasure-seeking adventure. Street-smart Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) is recruited by seasoned treasure hunter Victor "Sully" Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg) to recover a lost and vast fortune. ‘The Shallows’ (Peacock)
