Ubisoft unveils cinematic trailer for Far Cry 6

The Far Cry franchise has sold more than 20 million units since it's first release. Number 6 stars Giancarlo Esposito and arrives in February 2021

The lines between motion picture cinema and gaming are becoming less and less definitive. There is no better example of that then the most recent trailer for the 6th installment of the Ubisoft first-person shooter franchise, Far Cry.

With the game's antagonist voiced by a brilliantly villainous Giancarlo Esposito, the plot line follows political upheaval in a dystopian society. The recently released trailer is an epic 4-minute look in to the narrative of the game and the look and feel of the entry feels more like a major Hollywood blockbuster than a video game.

Since 2004 when the first installment of the franchise hit store shelves, the game has sold more than 20 million copies. The latest version proves to be the most ambitious with the plotline seemingly mirroring reality in a very eerie way. The game will be available in February 2021 but in the meantime, enjoy the trailer.
