The collision course of combat sports and heavy music took on Daytona Beach for the inaugural Blood4Blood to kick off Welcome to Rockville week in Florida. A full BKFC fight card, in tandem with a generational showcase of heavy music’s elite, proved a powerful spectacle that combined pugilism with pummeling, metal music - making for pure adrenaline dump.

Inside the cage, the headlining bout featured the highly-touted BKFC debut of Slaughter to Prevail frontman Alex Terrible, squaring off against Cameron Delano. Across three violent rounds, the two traded hands and inflicted serious damage. While Delano would ultimately get the better of the Russian Grizzly scoring a TKO in the third round, the war emphasized the durability of both fighters - broken bones and all.

“Of course, I’m very sad, I lost,” Terrible shared in his post-fight interview. “It fucking sucks. Sometimes shit happens. I feel sad but at the same time I feel so fucking happy because we made this Blood4Blood event.”
In the same post-fight interview, Terrible showed his humanity, balancing the usually larger than life frontman. “A lot of people says I’m tough. I’m scared of literally everything but I try to fight my fears. That’s why I do this shit. I hope you guys love this show. For me, it’s a fucking honor.”

The combination of four fights and four performances ensured a full night of action. Inside the cage, the Brutal Jake Bostwick lived up to his name, dismantling Roderick Stewart in the second round with a vicious knockout win for the night’s co-headlining bout.

In the flyweight division, Taylor Starling broke down Sydney Smith with a thorough beatdown that forced the referee to intervene at 1:32 in the second round. Hands were flying from the onset, with Starling dominating and adding to the hype on the night.

Starting the night off with fireworks, the opening bout of the card saw Sergey 'Kratos' Kalinin steamroll his opposition. Needing just a little more than a minute to dispense of Brock Walker in a first round TKO, the heavyweight division has always been synonymous with heavy slugging and tonight, Kratos more than delivered,

From the adjacent stage, the soundtrack of Blood4Blood fired off with savage sets from likes of UK heavy hitters Malevolence, legendary NOLA sludge specialists Crowbar and an appearance from the legend Zakk Wylde who laid down some serious riffage with the Black Label Society. The night also included an added bonus, though billed as four bands and four nights, emerging firebrand Chained Saint also delivered a set, setting a high bar with a show of audio intensity well beyond their years.
From the lighting to the pyro, the production in tandem with the sheer spectacle from the stage amped the energy in the building. From the circle pit savagery of Malevolence, to the lumbering heft of Crowbar to the incendiary shred of BLS, the music of Blood4Blood could not have been more on brand.
Setting the table for a headlining set from Slaughter to Prevail, the deathcore juggernaut laid down the gauntlet on the night, filling the arena with guttural roars, blast beats and bombastic breakdowns - a symphony of brutality that proved consistent throughout. The set also underscored the
