The 2021 installment of the Adult Swim Festival is confirmed for Friday, November 12 and Saturday, November 13 and will broadcast exclusively on the Adult Swim YouTube Channel.
The latest edition of the streaming event follows the hugely successful 2020 inaugural festival that has since amassed more than 10+ million views spanning the entirety of all of the festival fodder. Among the highlights of the production include live performances from the likes of Blood Incantation, Mastodon, the premiere of Deftones remix collaboration with Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park for "Passenger" and the Run the Jewels x Cyperpunk 2077 joint effort in "No Save Point".
The 2021 follow up will span two days worth of programming and again, pools together an incredibly eclectic collection of contributors including performances from the likes of surging metal juggernaut Alien Weaponry, Sargent House specials The Armed, and NOLA experimental doom outfit, Thou to name just a few. The best part is how such niche artists are pooled with some of the biggest stars on the planet. In fact, among the marquee headliners anchoring Adult Swim Festival 2021 include hip hop pillars like Lil Baby and 21 Savage, as well as pop mainstays Karol G and Alessia Cara.
Coupling the original performances from such a diverse roster of talent, Adult Swim will also keep the focus on their yearround programming with live chats and panel discussions for network favorites like Rick and Morty, Squidbillies, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, and the highly-anticipated new series Blade Runner: Black Lotus and Smiling Friends.
The festival will also feature fan-favorite episodes selected by series creators during watch parties where the audience can connect with special guests. Each watch party will feature a live chat where viewers can get real-time interaction from the people behind their favorite shows. The lineup includes hit series Rick and Morty, The Eric Andre Show, Tuca & Bertie, Joe Pera Talks With You, Robot Chicken, Teenage Euthanasia, Three Busy Debras, Birdgirl, Genndy Tartakovsky’s Primal, as well as some Adult Swim past favorites Sealab 2021, Mr. Pickles and Metalocalypse.
