This Friday Knotfest will be switching gears from the traditional live music programming of the streaming concert series to showcase a special broadcast of the 80's horror documentary In Search of Darkness.
The comprehensive film focuses specifically on the 1980's and the films that emerged from the era. Directed by David A. Weiner, the doc's collection of contributors features the likes of John Carpenter, Joe Dante (Gremlins), Don Mancini (Chilld's Play), Greg Nicotero, Cassandra Peterson (Elvira), Nick Castle ('Michael Myers' in Halloween), Doug Bradley ('Pinhead' in Hellraiser), and many more.
Initially becoming involved with the project as a contributor to the online crowdsourcing campaign, Slipknot frontman and well-establish horror aficionado Corey Taylor, has since become an integral part of the film.
To better introduce the definitive documentary of the genre, Taylor will be hosting a fan-driven Q & A prior to the streaming broadcast of In Search of Darkness. Fans can submit their questions in the comments section via Facebook.
