Crash overnight at the last Blockbuster Video on Earth through Airbnb

- By Ramon Gonzales

The last Blockbuster Video on Earth is offering the ultimate sleepover destination.

Nestled in the serene landscape of Bend, Oregon remains the very last Blockbuster Video store on the planet.

While the destination is brimming with nostalgia, the reality is that the store still operates as it did during the company's heyday - offering rentals of movies, encouraging patrons to rewind, and issuing the occasional late fees.

While the store has naturally become a pilgrimage for people looking to reconnect with a piece of history, the location has one-upped themselves with their latest promotion.

The Last Blockbuster will give guests the chance to stay overnight in the store through Airbnb. The official Airbnb description explains, “Dust off those membership cards for a sleepover inside the world’s last BLOCKBUSTER. When you call dibs on this stay, you’re booking a night back in the 90s, but this time you won’t have to beg your parents to rent the latest horror flick–we’ll give you the keys to the entire store!"

The limited offering single-overnight stays include the following dates, 9/18, 9/19 and 9/20 and are good for up to four people. Recreating the Friday night living room experience, the store has the complete set-up including bean bags, fold-out couch, movie snacks, and access to the entire store from check-in to check-out.

Bookings will begin August 17th via Airbnb
