Showtime has just released the first look at the revival of 'Dexter', their smash-hit series about a forensic expert who leads a double life as a serial killer that aired from 2006 all the way to 2013 with eight blood-splattered seasons. Michael C. Hall, who portrayed the titular character throughout its initial run, returns alongside original showrunner Clyde Phillips for 'Dexter: New Blood', a ten-episode special event series set nearly a decade after the finale.
'New Blood' picks up with Dexter living under the assumed name of Jimmy Lindsay in the small town of Iron Lake, New York. He may be embracing his new life, but in the wake of unexpected events in this close-knit community, his Dark Passenger beckons, and he'll have to fight his murderous urges once again.
The series also stars Clancy Brown as Kurt Caldwell, the unofficial mayor of Iron Lake, as well as Julia Jones, who plays Dexter's new love interest.
'Dexter: New Blood' premieres Sunday, November 7th exclusively on Showtime.
