Five Finger Death Punch's Ivan Moody goes dark with 'Dirty Poetry' graphic poetry book

The collaborative project with illustrator Blake Armstrong brings to life the ominous pen of the rock music singer and scribe.

As the voice of arena rock juggernaut Five Finger Death Punch, Ivan Moody has become championed for his lyrical stanzas at the core of one of the genre's most bankable bands.

Stepping away from the stage to explore other artistic vehicles, Moody has successfully launched a published book that is equal parts poetry and graphic novel in partnership with Z2 Comics.

Dirty Poetry From the Contagiously Contorted and Quixotically Twisted Mind of Ivan L. Moody combines the ominous verses of the vocalist with the visual talents of illustrator Blake Armstrong to create a 2-D experience that makes for both a compelling read and a brilliant collectors' item.

Upon the announcement of the project Moody shared, "Out of all the projects I’ve undertaken this is something truly out of the ordinary, completely unorthodox, and without ‘creative walls.’ It is by far the oddest thing I’ve ever done."

The book's visual counterpart in Blake Armstrong commented, "Dirty Poetry definitely stands out as one of the more free and unique creative experiences I've had in my career. Ivan's overall vision for this book was so twisted and tantalizing it would have been hard to keep me away from it. Our collaboration was truly a blast, and I think the love shows on every page. My only hope is that the readers enjoy the book at least half as much as we did working on it. It's gratifying to be a part of something so weird, unexpected and special."

Since the November 2nd drop, all variations of the book have since sold out including the Platinum Edition, Super Deluxe Edition, the Deluxe Edition, and even the Standard bundle versions of the release are gone. Fans however can still snap up the standard edition of the book.
