Last month, Warner Bros. Pictures announced that they would be releasing their entire 2021 film slate both theatrically and direct to streaming via HBO Max simultaneously. The unprecedented move threw the industry into hysterics, while fans finally had a bit of good news to celebrate.
The announcement ropes in several high profile film releases including The Conjuring: The Devil made Me Do It, The Sopranos prequel in The Many Saints of Newark, the Denis Villenueve-directed Dune, The Matrix 4, and the sequel to the 2019's Godzilla: King of the Monsters in the battle epic, Godzilla vs. Kong.
Reaching a deal with Legendary Pictures, Warner Bros. has announced that not only will the film see a simultaneous theatrical and streaming release, but it will happen two months ahead of schedule. Initially slated to drop in late May, the classic giants will duke it out onscreen starting March 26th.
The most recent, fast-paced teaser from Warner Bros and HBO Max reveals some of the first footage of the film in addition to footage from Mortal Kombat, The Matrix 4, The Suicide Squad, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It and more. Watch it below.
