Commencing a partnership between horror/thriller/supernatural genre specialists Cranked Up Films and Knotfest, the tandem has announced plans for an Exclusive Premiere Screening of the award-winning horror film, Alive.
Through September 24th, fans can screen the film exclusively via KNOTFEST.com. The film is currently available for rent HERE (rental period last 72 hours).
Ahead of the screening campaign, Knotfest has enlisted Slipknot's very own M Shawn Crahan to score an alternate trailer for the film. As the driving force behind Slipknot's visuals and artistic presence, as well as an accomplished director himself, Crahan's unique ability to merge sight and sound translates into a terrifyingly tense soundscape that compliments the horror of a story like, Alive.
Further exploring the film, KNOTFEST.com hosted a Q & A moderated by Ryan J. Downey with cast members Angus Macfadyen, Thomas Cocquerel & Camille Stopps.
Alive was directed by Rob Grant and has amassed a healthy collection of awards. Among the honors for the film include Austin Film Festival’s Audience Award, Best Feature Film at Atlanta Horror Film Festival and Best Thriller Feature Film from Shriekfest. Grant himself walked away with the Best Director award at both the HorrorHaus Film Festival and New York City Horror Film Festival.
Penned by writers Chuck McCue and Jules Vincent, Alive is the story of a gravely injured man (Thomas Cocquerel) and woman (Camille Stopps) that come to in abandoned sanatorium with no memory of who they are or what has happened.
The pair find they are at the mercy of a maniacal sadist (Angus Macfadyen) that is holding the couple captive while continuing to dish out punishment. Though the couple eventually makes their escape, they discover the preceding events that reveal an even greater horror.
