November 5th, 2021 proved to be an unforgettable night for Slipknot fans and the greater culture of heavy music overall. Heading a concise, focused roster of some of alternative music's best and brightest, Slipknot proved commanding in front a capacity crowd of some 25,000 supporters.
Culminating the band's 2021 triumphant return to touring, the stage was electric as the band tore through a career-spanning set that covered the spectrum seamlessly from Self-titled to We Are Not Your Kind. Adding to the significance of the night, Slipknot broadcasted the Los Angeles spectacle to a global audience and used the platform for the live debut of their first new material in two years in "The Chapeltown Rag".
Showcasing a generational snapshot of heavy culture with a roster of bands ranging from emerging to battle-tested, combined with the cultural elements like the Slipknot Museum and the fiery spectacle of Cherry Bombs, Knotfest Los Angeles proved a powerful indicator of the health of heavy culture and Slipknot's continued rank at the very pinnacle of the community.
