Marvel Studios has just released the first official look at their upcoming series Moon Knight, one of the most anticipated titles of their massive Phase 4 slate of content. Originally created by Doug Moench and Don Perlin, Moon Knight is a former CIA operative named Marc Spector who becomes a violent masked vigilante once the sun sets. In the series, the character is brought to life in the series by the one and only Oscar Isaac.
Disney has released the poster and trailer for the six-episode series, which shows Marc having a difficult time in his life when it comes to distinguishing between dreams and reality. It seems that Marc's superhero persona takes over without him knowing it, but he does understand that something is happening to him. He wakes up in places without knowing how he got there, he sees things that may or may not be there at all, and there's signs that he's been out and about. And of course, he doesn't feel like he's getting much sleep.
"A former U.S. marine, struggling with dissociative identity disorder, is granted the powers of an Egyptian moon god. But he soon finds out that these newfound powers can be both a blessing and a curse to his troubled life." is the official synopsis, and the series will also star Ethan Hawke, Gaspard Ulliel, and May Calamawy.
The Disney+ series is directed by creative duo Justin Benson and Aaron Morehead, who are best known for Synchronic, V/H/S Viral, and the new Netflix show Archive 81, as well as Egyptian filmmaker Mohamed Diab.
'Moon Knight' premieres March 30th exclusively on Disney+.
