In a report filed by Deadline, Netflix is currently working on a docuseries exploring one of the most infamous festivals in pop culture history, Woodstock '99.
The landmark event boasted appearances from the likes of Korn, Limp Bizkit, Rage Against the Machine, Metallica, Ice Cube, DMX, Megadeth, and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
It would ultimately become synonymous with disaster as fires, destruction, and wide-spread reports of sexual assault marred the festival forever.
The docuseries will be produced by Raw (who produced Don’t F**k with Cats and Fear City: New York vs. The Mafia) and BBH Entertainment (who produced the Depeche Mode documentary SPIRITS in the Forest).
Speaking with Deadline a source close to the project explained that the series will, "delve deep into the culture that created Woodstock ‘99 and tell the real story behind how 'three days of peace, love and music' went down in flames." The series will include unseen footage and interviews with people behind the scenes, onstage, and in the crowds.
