Stranger Things fans have plenty to celebrate. Netflix broke big news today (February 17th) first with the reveal of an initial collection of teaser poster for Stranger Things 4. The four designs featured via the key art showcase the locations highlighted in the fourth season.
The streaming giant would go onto detail that Stranger Things 4 is double the length of the three previous seasons. To accommodate the added content, Netflix is releasing the fourth season in two separate installments. Though the details on the latest season are scarce, some important takeaways have been confirmed in an accompaying letter penned by The Duffer Brothers Matt and Ross regarding the upcoming season. Most importantly, season 4 begins what we be the lead in to the series finale in Stranger Things 5.
"Seven years ago we planned out the complete story arc for Stranger Things. At the time, we predicted the story would last four to five seasons. It proved too large to tell in four, but -- as you'll see for yourself -- we are now hurling towards our finale. Season 4 will be our penultimate season; Season 5 will be the last." See the letter below.
As for what to anticipate for season four, Hopper is still alive though, “imprisoned far from home in the snowy wasteland of Kamchatka, where he will face dangers both human…and other.” Also, legendary horror actor Robert Englund joins the cast of season four to play Victor Creel, "a disturbed man imprisoned in a psychiatric hospital for a gruesome murder in the 1950s."
