Rage Against the Machine celebrate 21st anniversary of The Battle of Mexico City by releasing concert audio to streaming services

- By Ramon Gonzales

This historic October 28th, 1999 concert was filmed and released as a VHS in 2001, then DVD a year later. The audio is now available for the first time via DSPs.

While touring in support of their third album, The Battle for Los Angeles, Rage Agains the Machine performed a historic set at Mexico City's famed Palacio de los Deportes.

The landmark concert was professionally filmed and would eventually be released as first in 2001 as a VHS, then as a DVD in 2002.

Last year the band published a Youtube playlist with plenty of the footage from the performance that still evokes a charge more than two decades later. Now, the band has published the complete audio of the performance to all direct streaming platforms. The only track that has been famously (infamously) omitted is "Bullet In The Head" due to technical difficulties.

Watch the Youtube playlist of the footage and stream the playlist below.
