Run the Jewels' unprecedented Holy CalamaVOTE broadcast on Adult Swim unleashes today at midnight ET/9pm PT.
Health concerns forced the event to reschedule from the 10th but the shift in date had afforded some added perks. The duo confirmed musical contributions from the like of Mavis Staples, Zack de la Rocha, and Josh Homme. Additionally, comedian Eric Andre has been confirmed as the show's Master of Ceremonies. It's expected there will be more specials guests making unannounced appearances.
The Holy CalamaVOTE event is a commercial-free broadcast that will present a unique platform befitting such a dynamic tandem. The voter awareness initiative doubles as a celebration of Run the Jewels universally-praised RTJ4, of which Killer Mike and El-P will perform in it's entirety during the special.
Immediately following the Adult Swin broadcast which will be simul-casted on the network's website, the entire special will live on the Adult Swim Youtube Channel. It's there that fans will be encouraged to make a donation to the ACLU.
Partnering with Ben & Jerry's (Pistachio is the best flavor on earth BTW), all entities involved are steering fans HERE to get registered to vote and get information on the ACLU.
The duo will also be dropping limited edition merch to pair with the event, which you can grab here at midnight ET.
