Shudder announces 61 Days of Halloween

The specialty streaming service is getting a headstart on the season with 61 days of horror programming starting September 1st.

The streaming service dedicated to horror, thriller, and sci-fi programming is doubling-up their usually celebration of the Halloween season with 61 Days of Halloween.

with 2020 being what it has been, Shudder has decided to get an early start with their seasonal festivities by curating an impressive collection of titles ranging from emerging talent to legends of the genre.

The following are among the confirmed features anchoring the series.

COLOR OUT OF SPACE - September 1st

Based on the timeless H.P. Lovecraft short story, adapted and directed by Richard Stanely, the film tells the story of Nathan Gardner and his family as they fight a mutant alien that crash-lands in the front yard of their of their small town farm. The film stars Nicolas Cage, Joely Richardson, Madeleine Arthur, Brendan Meyer, Julian Hilliard, Elliott Knight, Josh C. Waller, Q'orianka Kilcher, and Tommy Chong.

NOS4A2 // Season 2 (pronounced Nosferatu) September 10th

Starring Jahkara Smith, Olafur Darri Olafsson, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Virginia Kull, Jonathan Langdon, Ashley Romans, Jason David and Mattea Conforti, the series is based on Joe Hill’s best-selling novel of the same name. The series is executive producer is Jami O’Brien of Fear the Walking Dead. Resuming with events some eight years after the culmination of season one, the series finds characters Vic McQueen and Charlie Manx deadset on each other's demise.
