The iconic original motion picture soundtrack for Star Wars: A New Hope is is getting a gatefold double LP release on 180g vinyl. The arrival date is currently set for October 2nd.
At the time if it's initial release, the ‘Main Title’ track of the album broke charted on the Billboard Hot 100 at number ten - a feat then unheard of for in classical music, The album would surpass more than a million unit sales in the domestic United States and would take home An Academy Award for Best Original Score.
Performed by the London Symphony Orchestra and composed by the legendary John Williams, the vinyl release marks a significant milestone in the OST's enduring legacy as one of the most important works of film music ever created.
