SYFY's brings together metal and horror for Metal Crush Mondays

- By Ramon Gonzales

Corey Taylor, Jonathan Davis and many more will appear as every Monday in August SYFY airs classic horror and dark fantasy flicks with your favorite bands.

The SYFY Channel has assembled an awesome line-up of Monday night movie features for their Metal Crush Mondays series.

The programming brings together some of metal's music's biggest stars and personalities to host classic horror and dark fantasy feature films. The series continues throughout the month of August on Monday nights starting at 7:30pm PT/ET.

In addition to the feature films, host Whitney Moore checks in with various band members to discuss movies, music, art, and all that is happening in their world while digging into the feature of the evening.

The August 3rd installment featured the Berserker Blöthar and Pustulus Maximus of GWAR, as well as Andy Black of Black Veil Brides. The trio bolstered a Monday night showing of the 1999 comedy-horror flick, Lake Placid.

The series continues tonight with Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, featuring Butcher Babies' Heidi Shepard, New Years Day's Ash Costello, and Sevendust's Lajon Witherspoon. Next Monday night, Underworld: Blood Wars screens with Anthrax's Scott Ian and Battlestar Galactica's Aaron Douglas.

Finally, Rob Zombie's Halloween finishes the series with Slipknot's Corey Taylor, Korn's Jonathan Davis, In This Moment's Maria Brinks, and Wendy Dio checking in with commentary.

Watch the interviews with the scumdogs of GWAR and Andy Black of Black Veil Brides from last week's METAL CRUSH MONDAY on SYFY below.

Tune into to see Resident Evil: The Final Chapter with Butcher Babies' Heidi Shepard, New Years Day's Ash Costello, and Sevendust's Lajon Witherspoon tonight.
