The CDC has published guidelines for the Zombie Apocalypse because... 2021

Would it really be that surprising at this point?

The Center for Disease Control has published actual protocol in the event of Zombie Apocalypse. The section of the website has been life for years now, however, the CDC has continued to keep up the guidelines as an effective means to connect with the general public in emphasizing the importance of preparedness in the event of a cataclysmic event.

The CDC's sites explains, “Wonder why zombies, zombie apocalypse, and zombie preparedness continue to live or walk dead on a CDC web site? As it turns out what first began as a tongue-in-cheek campaign to engage new audiences with preparedness messages has proven to be a very effective platform,” the CDC writes. “We continue to reach and engage a wide variety of audiences on all hazards preparedness via ‘zombie preparedness.’”

To provide an idea of just how thorough the guide is, the CDC has not only detailed the steps that everyone should take to ensure they are prepared for an attack of the undead, there is additional content like a guide for educators. The CDC has even published a graphic novel specifying some of the measures that should be implemented to stay safe.
