The Kyle Pavone Foundation launches Covid-19 relief effort with the Kyle Cares Scholarship

- By Ramon Gonzales

Since his tragic passing in 2018, the family for the former frontman of We Came As Romans has continued his legacy with The Kyle Pavone Foundation to provide support and services to those suffering from addiction.

In an effort to help mitigate the financial burden facing musicians and creatives in the fallout of the ongoing pandemic, the Kyle Pavone Foundation has established a working relationship with Battle Creek Community Foundation to create the Kyle Cares Scholarship.

The aim of the initiative is to provide critical support for those in dire need during these unprecedented times. The scholarship is currently available to musicians that have encountered financial hardship due to COVID-19 and are in need of assistance with regards to substance abuse treatment, mental/physical health, nutrition and or housing services.

The scholarship will be offering up to $2000.00 per applicant until the fund's resources are depleted. All applicants will be notified within three weeks of their application submission.

The Kyle Cares Scholarship continues to the Kyle Pavone Foundation's work to continue the loving legacy of former We Came As Romans frontman, Kyle Pavone. Tragically in 2018, the vocalist passed as a result of an accidental overdose. In the years since his untimely passing, his family has worked to nurture his legacy, while extending their reach to support other musicians struggling with mental health and substance abuse.

"Since Kyle's passing, we've always said that the opposite of addiction is connection," the Pavones said. "If we can help even just one musician get through these tough times, stay connected to loved ones and help them continue to pursue their dreams, then we've done something Kyle would be proud of."
