The weighty film reunited Holland with 'Avengers: Infinity War' and 'Endgame' directors, The Russo Brothers.

The first trailer for the highly-anticipated Apple TV + original film, Cherry, has finally been revealed and fans are getting a rattling look at Spider Man himself, Tom Holland.

The film is based on the novel of the same title from Nico Walker. Holland plays Cherry, a Army medic that suffers from PTSD and eventually turns to robbing banks to supplement his spiraling opioid addiction. The heady film is a far cry from the lovable version of Spidey but shows Holland's on-screen versatility in a film that is already being touted as career-defining.

Reuniting with The Russo Brothers who directed Holland in both Avengers installments, Infinity War and Endgame, Cherry holds a personal connection to the directorial tandem. The film is based and was filmed in the brothers' hometown of Cleveland, Ohio. Particularly hard hit by the ongoing opioid epidemic in the United States, there is real life drama at the core of The Russo's stylized storytelling.

Cherry is scheduled to arrive in theaters starting February 26th and will begin streaming via Apple TV + on March 12th. Watch the riveting trailer for Cherry below.
