Alessandro "Vman" Venturella delves into the autonomy, evolution and experience ahead of Knotfest Italy

In a feature via Radiofreccia, the bassist discussed his decade as a members of Slipknot, the family aspect of Knotfest and some surprises the band has in store ahead of their European trek.

Set to begin a stretch of European tour dates that include festival appearances and the band's own headlining plays, Slipknot will resume their international campaign for the summer starting in June.

Among the highly-anticipated plays, the band will head the inaugural Italian edition of their own festival banner in Knotfest - offering a one-of-a-kind experience for Italian fans.

Ahead of the monumental gathering, Slipknot bassist Alessandro "Vman" Venturella recently guested on Italy's Radiofreccia with host Cecile B to offer some insight to what fans in the region can expect when the band bulldozes Bologna.

Some of the takeaways from the conversation touched on the autonomy specific to Knotfest and how playing festivals versus producing your own allows for more creative freedom when it comes to the creating an experience for the fans. Vman shared that the ability to curate the bands on the bill and the implement additional components like the Slipknot Museum make Knotfest unlike anything else in the space.

Specific to Knotfest Italy, Vman also spoke about the kind of pride he takes in being able to play the region give his lineage. He spoke about his personnel connection to the fans and how he is looking forward to taking the stage in such a metal-passionate place like Italy.

The veteran bassist also took in the reality of coming up on a decade as an official member of Slipknot. Due to celebrate his tenth anniversary as a member next year, Vman confided how fast time has gone by and how his audition still feels like it happened only yesterday. As for how he will mark the occasion, Vman kept it simple and said the plan is to keep making music and keep connecting with fans.

As for the first-ever Knotfest Italy, Vman urged the fans to embrace the full experience, find out when the doors open and get there promptly to catch every bands' set. He emphasized the family aspect of the festival that unique to Knotfest and even hinted at a few surprises Slipknot has in store for the fans adding to the anticipation of what's to come in Italy.
