Teaming with director Ambar Navarro the emerging firebrand pays homage to Billy Idol with a new clip that showcases stylized noir.

2023 proved to a pivotal moment for emerging darkwave force, Sinnerella.

As the story goes, the young goth had recently secured his first ever vintage synth - a Roland Juno-106 - the same weapon of choice for icons like Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys and even The Prodigy.

While Sinnerella had already began gaining traction with his Lynchian ode in "Twin Peaks" and the post-punk snap of "Rendezvous," the young creative found a renewed excitement with another resource in his arsenal and was eager to get to work. Navigating his new hardware, Sinnerella began toying with one of his favorite songs in Billy Idol's classic, "Eyes Without A Face".

After a few hours of exploring the keys, Sinnerella enlisted his girlfriend Dani Celeste to aid with some backing vocals for a complete recording. The organic tribute which began as a learning exercise would eventually make it's way on to Sinnerella's live set list. The iconic track resonated with his growing base of fans in a way that captured lighting in a bottle.

A year following the initial, unceremonious release of the track, the algorithm gave Sinnerella an unexpected boost. Gaining serious virality via TikTok, the track found new life, becoming a sensation and soundtracking 60-second clips across the internet.

Adding to his swelling momentum, the cold synth specialist would go onto release additional standouts including his MIDNIGHT EP and the ethereal instrumental "Tijuana Goth," further building out his growing buzz.

Further sharpening his compositions and noir style points, Sinnerella most recently issued his Old World Charm EP just last month. Channeling classic post-punk, lush synth and dreamy darkwave, the collection of tracks reaffirmed what his wide introduction via his Idol worship suggested - Sinnerella was the real deal.

Since the initial release of his take on "Eyes Without A Face," the track has gone unto become a viral hit - rekindling the romance with legacy fans and introducing a new generation to a evergreen masterpiece.

Sinnerella shared of the song choice, "I have always considered this one of my favorite Billy Idol songs and one of my favorite songs in general. I still have vivid memories of listening to it from the back seat of my mom's car. This song has always meant a lot to me and I am honored to play a small part in its story."

To complete the treatment of the Idol classic, Sinnerella enlisted respected filmmaker Ambar Navarro to create a brooding, elegant music video for the enduring cover. Filmed on location in the Czech Republic, the clip captures a shadowy grace that reframes the ageless song in a way that stamps Sinnerella's unique identity on the anthem.

The young talent explained, “I think people connected with it because it doesn’t sound like someone trying to make an 80s song. It came from a real place, made on real synths and with real hardware, so it feels like something you found in an attic, not something made in 2023.”

He added, "I can only attribute its success to the fact that I covered one of the greatest songs of all time. My approach was genuine and pure in the respect that I never intended to make it at all. I was just excited about recording a jam session on my first vintage synth. Today, when I listen back to the song, I hear “Sinnerella” paying homage to Billy Idol and Steve Steven’s masterpiece, but I also hear a piece of myself and what I was going through at the time, it was accidentally perfect.”
