Domestic black metal horde 1349 have debuted the opening track from their pending October 4th full length, 'The Wolf and the King,' The menacing new track, "The God Devourer" is the third preview from the LP and builds on the momentum leading into the band's eighth full length studio effort.
Preceded by "Ash of Ages" and the searing "Shadow Point", 1349 are making significant strides in the modern age of US black metal. 1349 frontman and architect Ravn shared how the latest offering sets the table for the consuming quality of the album and how the thematic direction reflects the current social climate.
“'The God Devourer.' Opening track of 'The Wolf and the King.' It tears a hole in the universe and set the atmosphere for the album as a whole. It strangely also resonates perfectly with the ominous apocalyptic mood of the world today.”
The Wolf and the King was co-produced by Ravn and Jarrett Pritchard and features the artwork of respected contributor and collaborator, Jordan Barlow. The album is set to land October 4th via Season of MIst. Order the album - HERE
