The carefully curated, sharply-focused Takedown Festival continues to add to the excitement of their 2026 edition and their return to Portsmouth Guildhall. Set for April 3rd and 4th, the aggregate of standout rock and metal artists featured on the bill is a healthy mix of veterans like Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons along with skyrocketing phenoms in PRESIDENT.
Along with what will no doubt be highlight sets from the likes of Wargasm, Graphic Nature, As It Is and Zetra to name just a few, organizers have issued another confirmation that only sweetens the pot. Fresh off the recent release of their acclaimed LP, Soul Rot, emerging alt collective Artio has been added to Takedown.
Nu-grunge unti Overgrown have also been added to the weekend line-up with a host of new blood in Carsick, Pave, Vexed, Wall and King Kraken all locking in their set for the spring event. Paired with the latest announcement, organizers have also published the festival stage splits, giving fans an idea of who is grouped together and how each day will play out.
Kai and Sarah Harris of Takedown Festival offered, “We’re pleased to share this year’s stage splits, highlighting a strong and diverse lineup across all stages. We are very proud of the 2026 edition and can’t wait to see everyone having a great time. See you in the pit".
The 2026 edition continues the festival's upward trend since resurfacing in 2023. During the banner's initial year back which featured the likes of then lesser known Sleep Token and ragga-metal heroes Skindred, Takedown earned a nomination for Best Small Festival, Best Metropolitan Festival, and the Grassroots Festival Award at the 2023 UK Festival Awards. In the time since, Takedown has become one of the most anticipated events of the year and a trusted tastemaker in the greater scope of rock.
