Due to deliver their third full length and the band's first via Century Media next month, UK firebrand As Everything Unfolds has submitted another emphatic entry with the emotive single, "Denial".

Asserting an evolved sonic meld that expands on the band's metalcore bedrock, the end result is a compelling, cohesive show of prowess that positions As Everything Unfolds in a new tier - channeling catharsis via well-constructed heft and harmony.

"Denial is the hardest thing to watch someone go through," prefaced frontwoman Charlie Rolfe as she elaborated on the newest single.

"You can say or do nothing that will make them realize the horrible situation they're in, you see small moments of clarity where they're screaming out for help but they fall back into denial. It's their closest friend, their comfort. I found it the hardest phase to watch someone in addiction recovery go through. Their disregard for your emotional and physical well-being, your feelings don't even come into their mind. No matter how much you try to sympathize and say that you understand the pain they’re going through, it's never enough to convince them that they're not alone and their own destructive misery feels like they find joy in inflicting pain upon others, they feel better spreading their pain rather than facing it."

Did You Ask to Be Set Free?, sources film, literature and the real life lessons of grief, trauma, and personal growth to craft a collection of 12 songs that mark the band's most personal, profound effort to date. The album also marks a moment of personal triumph for the band. August 2024, Charlie Rolfe's boyfriend and band drummer Jamie Gowers tragically passed away.

Rather than derail, the significant loss would ultimately serve to galvanize the remaining members of the band to work through their grief, channeling it into their craft. "It’s going to be shit and it's going to be horrible, but running away from it felt like the wrong thing to do," recounts Charlie.

"This is the hardest record we will ever have to do — how can we flip it into something we're proud of, and give it the longevity and legacy it deserves?'"

The new album from As Everything Unfolds, Did You Ask to Be Set Free? arrives April 10th via Century Media Records. Order the album - HERE
