As I Lay Dying Enlist Alex Terrible and Tom Barber For Intense New Track, "We Are the Dead"

- By Ramon Gonzales

The single officially ushers in a new era for the band, doubling as the announcement of their next full length studio album, Through Storms Ahead.

The latest configuration of As I Lay Dying has confirmed the November 15th arrival of their next chapter, announcing a new album via Napalm Records. Through Storms Ahead marks the band's return officially, having debuted their first showing of new music in five years with the recent reveal of singles in "Burden" and "The Cave We Fear To Enter".

The current line-up consists of vocalist Tim Lambesis and guitarist Phil Sgrosso along with fresh recruits Ryan Neff on bass, Nick Pierce on drums and Ken Susi taking up the second guitar.

As part of the rollout for Through Storms Ahead, As I Lay Dying has followed up their succession of singles with arguably their most intense offering thus far from the cycle. Enlisting Alex Terrible of Slaughter to Prevail along with Tom Barber of Chelsea Grin, the collab track 'We Are the Dead" strikes with devastating impact consuming everything in its path.

Guitarist Phil Sgrosso shared some insight on the latest offering and the official album introduction. "'We Are The Dead' represents the more brutal territory from our new album, spotlighting our thrashier tendencies that we still enjoy mixing in amongst our more melodic sound. I think this is the meanest we've ever gone in terms of aggression, and who better to join us than two of deathcore's finest, Alex Terrible of Slaughter to Prevail and Tom Barber from Chelsea Grin. Shout out to our third-time video collaborator Tom Flynn for jumping in with us and pulling off another visually creative undertaking for the track."

Through Storms Ahead drops November 15th via Napalm Records. The album is available for pre-order - HERE
