Kawaii metal powerhouse BABYMETAL is again venturing in the Marvel Universe, as the featured artist on the latest edition of Marvel Zombies: War Zone. Working in close collaboration with hustlr., the Japanese collective are the latest artist in the series of cover variants which features athletes and entertainers alongside iconic Marvel characters on official Marvel Comics releases.
The band's ties to the MCU run deep. The song “from me to u” was featured in the trailer for Marvel Animation’s Marvel Zombies on Disney+ and become one of the highlights from the band's groundbreaking 2025 LP, METAL FORTH.
The band spoke about their collaboration with such an iconic entity. “We are truly honored to have had the opportunity to collaborate with Marvel, a beloved around the world for so many years. Gracing a comic book cover alongside Marvel’s characters is the best surprise we could have asked for. We hope our fans are as excited as we are!”
The cover variant of Marvel Zombies: War Zone was limited to 3,500 copies and features art from Phil Noto. The issue is currently available for pre-order via Capitol Records online store and via the hobby market though hustl.
It will be available for pre-order in Japan starting September 7th. The original comic with standard cover is available in comic shops and regional retailers starting September 2nd. Fans can order - HERE

The latest announcement arrives as the band continue their current North American campaign with support from Halestrom and Violent Vira.
