Among heavy music's most buzzworthy bands, blackened metalcore collective Balmora have announced their full length studio debut - a project some three years in the making. Set for release on May 29th via DAZE, These Graven Halls assert the band's effective meld of metallic fury with evident nods to pillars like The Black Dahlia Murder and On Broken Wings.
Underscoring the arrival of heavy music's new school, the album will also feature a healthy ensemble of special guests, each of which are earning buzz in their own respective lanes. Bolstered by guest spots from I Promised The World, Upon Stone, Empty Shell Casing and Holder, These Graven Halls mark Balmora's arrival and usher in a new era of contemporary, outsider art.
Previewing the album, BALMORA have shared the caustic introductory track, "Ophelia." Paired with a guest spot from Brie Percy of HOLDER, the violent track taps into early 2000's riffage with both Percy and BALMORA frontman Paul Cole delivering venom on vocals. Guitarist Jay Torblaa explained of the single, “Ophelia is a story of betrayal, heartbreak, revenge, and forgiveness. It’s meant to highlight the nature of initial anger, action, and remorse in a hanging balance system.”
BALMORA will be relentlessly touring in support of the new album. The band begin their supporting run with Poison The Well, Converge, and Spy across North America. This summer, BALMORA will move to the headlining spot with support from Holder and Azshara. Shortly thereafter, BALMORA join the Summer Slaughter tour with Hatebreed, Devourment, Incantation, Snuffed on Sight and Face Yourself. See a current list of confirmed dates below.
