Pulling off what looks like a late game pivot, Beartooth have delivered the third single from their highly-anticipated full length, Pure Ecstasy, arriving later this summer. Initially teasing a new single early last week, the band shared an update confiding that the lyric video for the intended video drop was flagged for A.I., despite the band's explicit wishes otherwise.
Beartooth frontman Caleb Shomo explained the situation regarding the most recent video, “The artist we commissioned for this project assured us adamantly throughout the process that no AI was used to create this lyric video. Unfortunately, after a lot of red flags and conversations this morning, we now know for a fact that was not the case."
Shomo emphasized, “We have no interest in using AI or artists lying about using AI to try to translate the blood, sweat and tears that were put into this album in any way, shape or form.” As a result, Luke Shomo, who also designed the artwork for the album, managed to pull off a new cut of the lyric video to ensure the arrival of the third single "Bullshit," remained on schedule.
Melding pop sensibilities with powerful rock dynamics, "Bullshit," asserts Beartooth's sound signature with track that speaks to both the band's formative foundation and bright future.
Shomo said of the single, “'Bullshit’ is a familiar song I’ve written many times. I wanted to revisit the musical style that was the catalyst of so much healing and discovery in my earlier years of Beartooth. It’s an exercise in letting the truth out about what you’re sick of in your own life. Sometimes the easiest way to deal with something is to yell about it as loud as you can. Can confirm, it felt as amazing to do this exercise now as I’d did when I was 19.”
Beartooth have confirmed a succession of live dates that will extend into next year. Unveiling segments of the Pure Ecstasy World Tour with the confirmation of an Australian leg and an EU/UK stretch, the band have also added a U.S. leg to close out 2026.
Following the EU/UK portion o the tour, Beartooth will return stateside and begin their domestic run November 11th in Boston, MA. The tour closes out in Wheatland, CA on December 19th and will feature a stacked supporting roster with sets from Don Broco, Magnolia Park and Windwaker.
