Between the Buried and Me Announce Fall Co-Headliner with Hail the Sun

- By Ramon Gonzales -->

The North American run coincides with the arrival of BTBAM's new full length studio album, The Blue Nowhere.

Earlier this month, Between the Buried and Me confirmed their InsideOut Music full length debut, The Blue Nowhere. The announcement of the new album and new label marks the first presentation of mew music since the band's hailed 2021 entry, Colors II, and further establishes the band has one of heavy music's most technically-skilled, creatively ambitious units.

Building on the exciting swirling the band and the anticipation of the new release, BTBAM have announced plans to hit the road in support of the new record with an extensive North American tour. Teaming up with Hail the Sun for the fall co-headliner, BTBAM will begin the tour September 14th in Philadelphia, PA., just two days after the arrival of The Blue Nowhere

“It is with great thrill and anticipation that we’re finally able to announce that we will be hitting the road this fall in support of our brand new album, The Blue Nowhere,” shares guitarist Paul Waggoner. “We always embrace the opportunity to perform for our amazing fans, particularly when we have new music floating around out there!”

In addition to sharing the stage with Hail the Sun, BTBAM have enlisted a pair of commanding special guests to join the caravan. The World Is a Beautiful Place & I am No Longer Afraid to Die take on the first portion of dates with Delta Sleep taking on the remaining stretch.

Working with longtime collaborator and producer Jamie King, The Blue Nowhere showcases the inclusion of an extensive string and horn section - a bold first for collective that has never felt content resting on their laurels. The Blue Nowhere also finds the band expanding their thematic cannon, moving from the concept album model to something much more personal and reflective.

Vocalist Tommy Rogers reflects on the inspirational depth of the nerw album,  “It’s more of a feeling—those moments when you feel alone in the world and you’re reflecting, and in that process you’re finding out new things about yourself and your place in the world. Existing in a space where nobody can find you, as you’re hidden from all forms of reality- That’s The Blue Nowhere.”

Introducing the album, Between the Buried and Me recently shared the lead single, "Things We Tell Ourselves In the Dark". Utilizing shades of funk and pop as true heavy music progressives, the single showcases the band's all encompassing range and unwillingness to stick to the conventional.
