The charity concert will tale place in Birmingham and will feature supporting sets from Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Gojira and many more as The Prince of Darkness marks his final performance.

It's being called the "greatest heavy metal show ever" by musical director Tom Morello and based on the initial announcement, it certainly stacks up that way/

Back to the Beginning is set for July 5th in Villa Park in Birmingham and will mark the final performance from Ozzy Osbourne. Black Sabbath will headline the special event and it will mark the first time that Ozzy, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward as the original line-up of the iconic band have played together in 20 years.

Among the supporting bands slated to participate in the generational event, Metallica, Pantera, Slayer, Gojira, Halestorm, Alice In Chains, Lamb of God, Anthrax and Mastodon are all confirmed to perform - making for a truly historic happening.

Additionally, there will be a supergroup performance with the likes of Billy Corgan, David Draiman, Duff McKagan, Fred Durst, Lzzy Hale, Jonathan Davis, KK Downing, Mike Bordin, Papa V Perpetua, Sammy Hagar, Slash, Sleep Token and more paying tribute to the life and legacy of Ozzy Osbourne.

Proceeds from the show will directly benefit Cure Parkinson's, the Birmingham Children's Hospital and Acorn Children's Hospice, a Children's Hospice supported by Aston Villa.

The concert marks the end of an era and an epic full circle moment for Sabbath. The band was founded in 1968 and had their very first rehearsal at a community center walking distance from Villa Park. In a statemnent, Ozzy shared, "It's ... time for me to give back to the place where I was born. How blessed am I to do it with the help of people whom I love. Birmingham is the true home of metal."
