En route to the release of their ninth full length album appropriately titled, Nine, the pride of the OC in Bleeding Through have submitted another preview from the release with the emphatic, "I Am Resistance".
The charged new single gets a flex of extra muscle, featuring the added vocal intensity of Andrew Neufeld of hardcore punk stalwarts, Comeback Kid. The track is the latest in a succession of singles including "Path of Our Disease"' '"Our Brand Is Chaos" and "Dead But So Alive"all of which showcase the band's distinct brand of songwriting skill and sonic savagery.
The band's frontman Brandan Schieppati offered the following on the latest cut. "I Am Resistance is a song about self reflection. It’s the times in your life that you come close to rock bottom and lose yourself. This song is about the battle of self medication and self destructive behaviors that sometimes grip your throat in life. This is a pledge to what you love and what you are truly devoted to."
Marking the band's first full length release in some six years, the album serves as pivotal moment in the band's lengthy career. Schieppati also spoke about how Nine is indicative of not only the history of the band, but of their future just the same. “There’s so much passion and aggression on this album. If you’re a fan of us, you won’t be let down. This is everything we’ve been working towards. This is the culmination of 25 years. This is Bleeding Through in its purest form.”
