It's been seven long years since the Arizona collective of Beau Bokan, Eric Lambert, Jared Warth and Elliott Gruenberg in blessthefall have released a full length album. Over the last couple of years, the band have shared glimpses of their next era - with 2023's "Wake the Dead" and last year's Alpha Wolf-assisted "Drag Me Under".
Now, the band have confirmed their first full length record is on the way, due out September 5th via Rise Records. GALLOWS marks blessthefall's long-awaited return - their first in more seven years. Offering from insight to the record and the intentionality of the time away, vocalist Beau Bokan explained,
"Gallows is a culmination of everything we love about writing music. We took our time and only wrote when we felt inspired. Every song you hear on this album was written from a place of excitement and freedom and you can hear that shine on every track. From the visceral screams over some of the most disgustingly heavy parts we've ever written to the massive sing-along choruses, there's something for everyone. If you're a die hard BTF fan since Day One or a first-time listener, Gallows will end up on your Top 3 metalcore albums for 2025."
Paired with the announcement of the new album, blessthefall have shared their latest single previewing their next iteration. "MALLXCORE" is a chaotic flex of metalcore, swiftly transitioning from fiery verses to soaring choruses - establishing the range of the veteran crew.
"You ever hear a song from a band and go, 'Holy fucking shit, they nailed it?,'" Bokan said. "That’s what 'mallxcore' will make you feel. This song was so fun to write as we went in with no intentions other than writing the most blessthefall song possible. The song title is a poke at the r/Metalcore reddit haters."
Along with the feature from the previously mentioned Alpha Wolf, GALLOWS features additional guest spots from Story Of The Year and Caskets. The album arrives September 5th and currently available for pre-order - HERE
