Triple OGs Body Count just delivered another powerful preview from their forthcoming full length, Merciless due out later this year. The track follow the emphatic arrival of the album's lead single "Psychopath" which features guest vocals from Joe Badolato of Fit For An Autopsy.
On the latest serving from the band's eagerly-awaited LP, Body Count takes aim at the current, contentious political landscape in America. Given the band's tenure that saw their rise during one of the most turbulent times in Southern California history, the band offer a unique perspective, likening the growing political divide to that of the proliferation of street gang culture.
Coining the terms "Democrips" and "Bloodpublicans", frontman and legendary lyricist Ice-T intends to wade through the bullshit of both sides in an effort to spread the gospel of common sense. "I have friends across the aisle," Ice-T explains, "but my views are balanced and unapologetic."
The track is coupled with a potent new music video that features stylized performance footage from the band, coupled with news footage that underscores the volatility of the times.
The single punctuates the band's most recent touring stretch, successfully taking on a succession of EU/UK dates on their Merciless Tour. Up next, Body Count will take on plays at Louder Than Life Festival next month and a set in Sacramento in October at Aftershock.
The single also pairs with the launch of the band's 360-degree, fully immersive web experience given fans an interactive glimpse into the universe of Body Count. The site was developed by the team at Metimmerse, and offers a unique fan experience that allows them to unearth Easter Eggs like merch discounts and other exclusive Body Count content.
