Fresh off their recent trek Down Under supporting Fit For An Autopsy in Australia, Florida deathcore standouts Bodysnatcher have announced the follow-up to their well-received 2024 full length, Vile Construct.
Set for an April 10th release, Hell Is Here, Hell Is Home finds the collective setting a new standard in brutality, one that showcases the band's progression as artists while unleashing all the brutality that has become their signature. Emphasizing the band effective, eviscerating attack, "The Maker" serves as the first single from the new album and sets a high bar with relentless instrumentation and unsettling source material.
The band's bassist Kyle Shope offers some detail of the rage at the core of the newest single, “Bodysnatcher has always been known for unrelenting heaviness but “The Maker” seems to be an even darker, more intense direction. Revenge and retaliation are themes we often use in our lyrics, however “The Maker” is a more direct approach. This song is as heavy as we could make it and I know the energy is going to be electric when it is played live.”
As for the thematic direction of the album, drummer Chris Whited confides that art imitates life on the album with a collection of songs that nurtures the notion of fighting back during such uncertain times. “I’d say a lot of today’s world plays into this album. We really feel that listeners across the globe can find something to connect with in these songs. There’s a strong sense of retaliation this time around, it feels like choosing violence, fighting back against a world that feels morally lost right now.“
Guitarist Kyle Carter weighed in, confiding the roadblocks the band hit creatively, the resilience the band built because of it and how that plays into the album's theme of get back. “I won’t lie, this was a hard album to put together. Every writing session was met with dead ends for months, but we were able to come out the other side with 15 demos and ended with 10 of the best songs we’ve ever made. The album is based around revenge and not bending over for people. I hope others can hear these songs and come to the same realizations we have while putting this together. Life is too short to let people walk on you or take advantage of you. Humans are monsters who betray, abuse, neglect, murder, and sometimes it feels like we’re too comfortable in the Hell that we’re in.”
Along with the arrival of Hell Is Here, Hell Is Home, Bodysnatcher continues to fill their dance card with a relentless run of tour dates. In March, the band will led their 'Hell Is Here, Hell Is Home' EU/UK headlining tour with PSYCHO-FRAME, Ingested and Big Ass Truck joining the trek. Then, Bodysnatcher returns stateside to join Chaos & Carnage 2026 with Thy Art Is Murder, Carnifex, 200 Stab Wounds, Ingested, Gates To Hell, and Bodybox starting in May.
