Borknagar, the celebrated Norwegian band known for their unique blend of avant-garde and progressive black metal, is set to captivate the music world with the release of their twelfth studio album, Fall, on February 23rd, under the banner of Century Media Records. The band has been working closely with Century Media for a long time, and their latest project is highly anticipated.

In anticipation of the album's release, Borknagar has unveiled "Moon," the third single from Fall, accompanied by a visually striking animated video created by the talented Costin Chioreanu of Twilight13Media. This collaboration marks another successful partnership between the band and the visual artist, following the acclaim of their previous work together on the single "Up North."

Øystein G. Brun, a pivotal figure in Borknagar, expressed the band's excitement and pride in presenting "Moon" to their fans. He highlighted that the song, penned by ICS Vortex, signifies a new chapter in the band's musical journey and praised Chioreanu for providing a deep and sophisticated visual interpretation that complements the song's essence.

Costin Chioreanu shared his experience working on the "Moon" video, acknowledging the pressure and expectations that come with creating art for a band as respected as Borknagar. His aim was to push the boundaries of heavy metal aesthetics, a goal he believes was achieved with the creation of the "Moon" animation video, which he describes as a manifestation of unique visual art.

Fall promises to be an epic addition to Borknagar's discography, featuring eight tracks that span over 54 minutes. The album was mixed by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios, known for his work with bands such as Opeth, Amon Amarth, and Kreator. The stunning album cover artwork was crafted by Eliran Kantor, famous for his designs for Testament, My Dying Bride, and Sodom.

Following the success of their 2019 album True North, Fall is expected to be another masterpiece, available in various formats including a limited first-pressing Digipak CD, a Gatefold 2-LP on 180gr vinyl, and a digital album. The vinyl edition offers collectors and fans several variants, though the neon orange edition has already sold out due to high demand.
